Cirque du Soleil has come back to Kazan and surprised everyone again. On Wednesday night, the loved by Kazan audience Circus of Sun presented its show Alegria, rightfully called a legend.
On 31 May 2008 in Brussels, Kazan won the bid to host the 27th Summer Universiade in 2013. Implementation of this project gave a powerful incentive for the development of the capital of Tatarstan, strengthened connections between different regions of Russia, and caused an unprecedented growth of patriotism and pride for the country. It also became a great motivation for the standard of life in Russia to improve.

An official ceremony, opening a Holy Bolgar Assembly, held to mark the 1124th anniversary of the Volga Bolgaria adopting Islam, on Saturday took place near a Memorial Sign in Bolgar.
