It should be noted that the final report on the results of the 2013 Summer Universiade will be presented at the FISU Executive Committee Meeting duw to be held in May 2014.
FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien and FISU EC members expressed their deep gratitude to the Chairman of the 2013 Summer Universiade Organising Committee and First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov, Russia's Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the entire Team 2013 and Kazan 2013 volunteers for staging a once-in-a-lifetime Universiade and enhancing the prestige of FISU and Universiades in the international arena.
Vladimir Leonov presented major results of the Summer Universiade, drawing particular attention to a number of factors that contributed to the success of the Games.
President of the Russian Student Sports Union Oleg Matytsin started the report by saying thank-you to FISU for placing the trust in Russia and giving the right to host the Summer Universiade to Kazan.
Before the Kazan 2013 Organising Committee delivered its report, representatives of the FISU Committees provided their official reports on the results of the Kazan Universiade.
A preliminary report on the results of the 27th Summer Universiade was today presented to the FISU Executive Committee on the sidelines of the 2013 World University Winter Games, which are due to kick off tonight in Trento, Italy.
