Beach sports summer in the capital of Tatarstan is in full swing: in July the city hosted the All-Russian Beach Games 2017, where Russian Beach Volleyball Cup took place as a test event in the lead-up to the major international tournament – U18 Beach Volleyball European Championship.

Оn July 8, the Kazan City Hall hosted the closing ceremony of the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy, the first-ever forum for international sport volunteers. 

A press conference dedicated to the kickoff of the third All-Russian Beach Games (7-16 July) was held today, July 6, at the Aquatics Palace, Kazan. The 2017 edition of the games features 13 sports.

The first-ever forum of the leaders of the volunteer movement from FISU (International University Sports Federation) member countries continues at the Volga Region Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism. The forum brought together more than 100 volunteers from 91 countries.

Day 2 of the Russian Diving Championships featured only 2 disciplines.

Day 3 of the Russian Diving Championships held at the Aquatics Palace opened with the men’s 3m springboard event, where the favorite of the line-up Ilya Zakharov from Saratov proved his excellence over rivals with 490,50 points.

Mixed duet 10m platform event marked the end of the first competition day of the Russian Diving Championships.

The Russian Diving Championships was opened with the women’s 3m springboard event. Ekaterina Nekrasova from Saint Petersburg topped the podium with 305,80 points. Olga Kulemina from Penza claimed silver (298,00), and bronze went to Elena Chernykh (292,75) from Voronezh.
