Two bicycle tourists from Kazan - Alen Khairullin and Pavel Grachev - who less than four months ago embarked on a world cycling tour commemorating the upcoming 2013 Summer Universiade and the 100th anniversary of Onisim Pankratov's journey around the world, are continuing their trip across the United States of America. Not long ago they have left Atlanta, GA and have already reached the state of Alabama.
Kazan will turn into the university boxing Mecca when one of its venues, the Table Tennis and Boxing Centre which was built especially for the 27th Summer Universiade, will open its doors for the All-Russian University Boxing Championship where student-athletes will qualify and boxing judges will get selected for the Games. Boxing athletes from 17 regions of Russia will compete in individual and team competitions. The triumph at the championship will give the winners the spot on the Russian national team for the 2013 Summer Universiade.

Three years since establishment of the Republican foundation for historical and cultural monuments “Renaissance” is celebrated today. The RT President’s decree about establishment of the foundation was signed on February, 17, 2010. The decree determined main mission of the foundation: assistance in preservation and reconstruction of Bolgar historical-architectural museum reserve, architectural and artistic restoration of the State historical-architectural and art museum “Island town of Sviyazhsk”.
