Niyaz Nabeyev, master of sports in Nordic combined, took part in the meeting dedicated to XXII Winter Olympics and XI Winter Paralympics in Sochi. Afterwards, he told the journalists how the training for the winter season goes.
On 10th of October the 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship’s qualifying round starts in Kazan, involving young footballers from Russia, Ukraine, Estonia and Malta – members of the 13th group.
"We were pleased to accept the invitation to work in St. Petersburg, because the experience we gained when carrying out the volunteer programme should be shared with all regions of Russia, especially since the World Combat Games is a tournament of international scale, and the task to implement the volunteer programme in a record period of time made my colleagues all excited to get down to work!
Using the experience of working at the Universiade in Kazan, the experts of the Volunteer Department developed a volunteer motivation programme, arranged the distribution of uniforms that volunteers will collect at the end of this week in a specially allocated uniform distribution centre.
Upon completion of the training programme on October 15, volunteers will have full knowledge of what their duties are, who they should address with this or that issue, where their workplaces and venue volunteer headquarters are located, etc.
Under the training programme, the volunteers got familiar with general information on the upcoming Games, the sports included in the programme, venue management system, as well as some special features of the volunteer programme.
