When talking about the period of the preparation and staging of the Universiade, the minister emphasised that the numerous Kazan 2013 team had successfully managed to walk a long way, overcome all the difficulties and ensure that all the visitors, participants and spectators of the World University Games were happy and fell forever in love with Kazan and Tatarstan.

The meeting with the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate staff began with the observance of a minute of silence in remembrance of the victims of the plane crash which occurred just over a week ago in Kazan.

At the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, a solemn awards ceremony was held for the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate staff who had made a significant contribution to the preparation and staging of the 27th Summer Universiade.
