Aleksey Solpekovsky, a representative of the Pskov Oblast and St. Petersburg, outclassed his rivals in the 1,500m freestyle (14.47.16).
Sergey Fesikov won gold in the 100m individual medley (52.33), followed by Moscow's Aleksey Atsapkin (53.83) and St. Petersburg's Andrey Shabasov (54.02).
Nikolay Skvortsov was in a class of his own in the men's 200 m butterfly final.
The three-time Russian champion and overall breaststroke champion Oleg Kostin claimed gold in the men's 50m breaststroke final (26.71).
Nikita Konovalov of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug finished first in the men's 200m backstroke final (1.52.93).
A touch on the wall decided the outcome of the men's 100m freestyle final.
Vitalina Simonova was second to none in the women's 200m breaststroke final (2.19.95) to win her third national title.
Nadezhda Vinyukova of Moscow earned title in the women's 50m backstroke event (27.43), finishing 0.05 seconds ahead of her teammate, Aleksandra Papusha, and 0.1 seconds ahead of Daria Ustinova of the Sverdlovsk Oblast.
A young 14-year-old but well-decorated athlete, eight-time winner of the European Youth Olympic Festival Arina Openysheva earned bronze. It's the first time that she participates in the senior national championship.
I really wanted to break the national record, but I finished just a little shy of it.
