A test check-in was today held in the Kazan airport’s 1A terminal for a Kazan-Astrakhan flight. The passengers were President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and State Railways head Anatoly Lesun. Before the check-in, the two officials inspected the construction of some railway facilities. The first site was a suburban train station building, whose reconstruction had begun in October 2011, aiming to make the station an advanced transportation hub. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and railways chief Anatoly Lesun were told how the passenger traffic would be managed, which work had been completed and which was to be done.

On 12-13 November, the Tatarstan authorities and younger people will meet face to face, to discuss problems students are having and to find solutions to them. The 7th congress of Tatarstan will be held. The congress is not only the supreme governing body of the League of Students, convened at least once every two years, but a platform for Tatarstan student leaders to speak about urgent problems faced by the students.

Russia and South Korea can grant a visa free travel up to 30 days for their countries’ residents in 2013, South Korean consul-general in Vladivostok Lee Yang Goo said at the meeting with Sakhalin region deputy governor Sergei Khotochkin today. “The documents for cancelling visas for a 30-day travel have already been prepared and as of January 1, 2013, short-term visas can be cancelled,” he said.

The final of a city-wide autumn yard sports tournament, Street Workout 2012, on Wednesday took place in a garden near the Syrtlanova Street in Kazan. The final included two rounds.

Each participant signed a special note, acknowledging their responsibility for own state of health and safety while participating in the competition.
