The closing ceremony of halal-related professional training programmess for representatives of catering agencies was held at the Main International Centre (MIC) on the threshold of the 16th FINA World Championships.

A farewell event was held today for Tatarstan’s underwater research group, as it embarked on the Arctic Circle of Russia expedition marking the beginning of the 13 Seas of Russia project. During this mission, the Tatarstan submariners will take the capsule with water from the Kazanka River, one of the symbols of the upcoming 16th FINA World Championships, to the floor of the Barents Sea.

Chairman of the Russian Geographical Society’s branch in the Republic of Tatarstan and President of the Federation of Underwater Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, Dmitry Shiller, was announced today as an Ambassador for the 16th FINA World Championships. The Kazan 2015 Ambassador certificate was handed to him by Farid Abdulganiev, Deputy Director General of the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects.

During a press conference at the Tatar-inform Information Agency, Deputy Director General of the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects, Azat Kadyrov, informed that with the 2015 FINA World Championships fast approaching the tickets sales keep growing with each passing day and advised not to leave the purchase of tickets until the last minute.

The Kazan 2015 Organising Committee has launched a free mobile application for iOS and Android devices. It will be available in the Russian and English languages.
