Turkmenistan's experts in aquatic sports arrived in Kazan to tour sports venues of the 16th FINA World Championships. The delegation consisting of President of the National Federation of Aquatics of Turkmenistan Oraz Karabayew, representatives of the Organising Committee for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Rostislav Isakov and Alexander Fokin, and project manager for the construction of the aquatics complex in Ashgabat, Oktay Usta, visited the capital of Tatarstan on March 25-28.
The 16th FINA World Championships were the main theme of an awareness-raising event that took place in sports schools of Kazan. The meeting was hosted by participants of the Personnel Reserve Republican Project and the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects.
Representatives of the French Swimming Federation (FFN) visited Kazan to view the progress made in the lead-up to the 16th FINA World Championships and FINA World Masters Championships.
On April 15, Kazan will celebrate the 100-day countdown to the 16th FINA World Championships. On this occasion, results will be announced for the Water of Life Art Contest, which was launched on February 20 and is facilitated by the Executive Committee of the city of Kazan, art school No 1 and Ekiyat Puppet Theatre. The contest is open to children between the ages of 12 and 16 who study at art schools of the capital of Tatarstan. The theme for the contest is the upcoming Championships.
Preparatory works for the 16th FINA World Championships 2015 are getting underway at the Kazan Arena Stadium. For the first time in the history of football stadiums and FINA World Championships, the competitions will be staged on the football field and two temporary pools - one for competitions (50x25x3m) and one for practices (50x25x2m) - will be erected for this purpose.
More than 140 startups registered an interest to take part in the Kazan stage of the Russian Startup Tour, the fourth stop on the innovations roadshow that runs Tuesday and Wednesday in the Tatarstan capital.
